Almost forgotten to blog...!!

Hehehe..

Yeah I have been really busy with things lately that everytime I want to write something, something came up of which I have to run first. In the end, when I came back to this editor, I've already forgotten what am I supposed to be writing in the first place.

I hope we're done with the Yoga issue, though, a lot of people have been cynical, "macam bagus", critical, supportive and so on with regard to this issue but, I'm hoping that we should be able to achieve the state of equilibrium of thoughts or opinions, even though there's no absolute 'hukum' with regard to the Yoga matters, as it has not been mentioned properly in the quran.

It has been mentioned every where (even in the comment box of this blog), that even without Yoga (or asana in specific), one can achieve physical healthiness by performing Solat. Without hesitation, I agree with that but there's no way you can make money by teaching people how to solat properly.

Those Yoga Studios (now it sounds moronic to me) was all commercialized. I know that they didn't teach yoga (or asana) up to reach the Yoga state, of which why Yoga is being banned. It's all about making money. Same goes to balet classes, music classes, gymrama classes, even Silat, Karate Do classes and Taekwondo ( i remembered when I was a lot younger, my friend asked me to attend the taik kwando classes hehehe).

"Kalau nak ikut Islam sangat, menyanyi, main muzik pun salah, sebab ianya mengkhayalkan", but I guess people don't get high playing music. I'm also a musician, but musicians tend to get high to play music, don't u think so?

And to think about it, what about Silat? My father even told me, last time, they teach silat with all the mystic rituals, so that you can be invulnerable (kebal) and sometimes, they have to have something like 'penunggu' or 'teman' to protect you from danger, and even use the tangkal and what not. That can even be categorized as syirik.

Even Karate, my long lost and died Karate Master with 7 black belts from 7 different schools of Karate thoughts, somekind of a crooked and not a straight Muslim admitted, he was doing somekind of ritual in Japan, to achieve a state of unity with the spirit to be able to seek and explore the ability of the inner power from oneself, but he's assuring us that what we learn are just the physical aspect of Karate, not the spiritual part.

I believe, modern Silat schools has the same concept. So does Yoga.

Not to mention all those who believed in Bomoh and what not. Using the black magic to endanger some other people's live. By default, that is totally syirik and people are still doing it.

And even those who do lasers, botox, plastic surgery to modify and change their look, is still not right but muslim is still doing it without hesitation.

Actually, there's a lot of other things to look into. We as a muslim must have the ability to differentiate what is right and wrong, and the most important thing is that you have the right intention.

Back to that matter, it was all opinionated fatwa made by the fatwa council, but you have to remember that Yoga's objective is totally opposed the Islamic teaching.

Still, we are all adults and we're free choose what is best for us. I still remember, at the end every Usrah session made by my seniors during my shool time, they always quoted this,

"Yang baik itu datangnya daripada Allah, dan yang kureng baik itu datangnya dari diri saya sendiri atau anda semua.. hehehe"

Further, "rambut sama hitam, hati lain-lain" has been funnily modified to, "kita sama islam, kubur lain-lain".

Last but not least, I'd like to mention about my younger brother, Izzat who is now studying in Russia. I guess he has a lot of spare time to do this. I've got to admit that my bright and brilliant brother has the talent, more than I do and he's now seriously into guitars (which makes me a lil worry as he's supposed to study medic there).

Here he is, the one without the mask.

The official forbiddance of Yoga

When I talk to my parents about this, they seems to be not so interested in the issue as it has actually nothing to do with them. Yoga is just another crap.

Yoga, was originated by the Hindus as a way to strengthen their bind to the gods. They believe the unity to god state may allow them to delay ageing, reduce the diabetic risks, high blood pressure, asthma and cardiovascular related problems.

As I was referring to some readings, Yoga is actually a journey of which the goal or destination of Yoga is getting the Yoga State itself, union itself, of the little self and the True Self, a process of awakening to the preexisting union that is called Yoga.

Trough meditations, postures and moves, the whole yoga thing may lead you to a relaxing state, of which was claimed to be the state of unity to god, of which I, as a muslim doubt it so much.

From my understanding, the unity to god state, of which is actually the latent, unconscious state of mind can also be obtained through modern hypnotization, as it is just a state of brain reaction to relaxation.

Yoga has been misunderstood as a physical system with a spiritual components in it but actually, Yoga is a Spiritual system with a physical component!

To say that Majlis Fatwa has not done their study in this matter (or even stupid), is not fair, as the word or the concept of Yoga itself has been misinterpreted and misunderstood. Yoga is the whole system, just like a Proton Saga with it's engine. Without the engine, you are unable to get to your destinations. So Yoga without the postures exercise, you cannot get reach the Yoga state.

In this case, the postures, of which has been practised by the local Yoga practitioners of which should be more accurately addressed as Asana, is just a component of Yoga.

Does this mean that the Yoga practitioners themselves have been using the wrong term for what they've been practicing? It should be Asana, not YOGA dudessss!!!

So these modern yoga practitioners has actually brought some kind of misunderstandings through the misinterpretation by the people, and even the practitioners themselves. I think this is the cause that has brought to the banning of YOGA for muslims, of which I also support it. Yoga, as in definition, is the journey to unite with god.

These modern Yoga practitioners is actually practicing Asana.

So back to the so called Yoga practice in Malaysia.

********************

Ninie, as one of the prominent figure of Yoga in the nation claimed that Yoga has brought her wellness since she was suffering from a lot of illness when she was young. She was not only getting well, she was then willing to share her experience by opening her own yoga center.

And tell you, she did it superbly well.

I myself used to attend a few Yoga sessions when I was still attending GYM. I loved it, especially when there's a lot of pretty creatures in the class. And I had my chance to flirt as much as I like.

The problem was, most of the time, I'm the only male.

So I wasn't so into it even though the cute trainer keep calling me to come to her class and she claimed that they missed my absence in the class.

I think they actually missed my stupid and dirty jokes. When I'm the only male in a place, I tend to speak uncontrollably, thus these pretty creatures keep laughing and laughing.

I don't think they actually laughed at my jokes. I think they laughed at me as I keep embarassing myself for not being able to do this and that, for saying 'adoi' and 'ouch' loudly and sweating like a pig at the end of the class.

But one thing for sure, me, the trainer and all my colleagues, never became a hindu. I'm still a muslim. I'm still practising some yoga postures for my concerned health.

I saw no religious element in that Yoga class. No manteras, tantras or any spiritual routines what so ever just postures and moves.

*********

They claimed modern yoga has got nothing to do with the spiritual routine, of which I partly agreed but if they learn the whole thing of YOGA itself, the whole concept is already incorrect and not precise. Yoga has been commercialized just like satay goreng, of which original satay should be grilled, but when they created a fried version, they still call it satay. Even though, it's fried, it's still satay, and the main objective is the satay is to be eaten.

In this case, you cannot call your Yoga class as Yoga class, or Yoga studio, or call yourself a Yoga teacher as you're not going to reach that YOGA state anyway.

It seems like these Yoga practitioners may have not done their own research on what Yoga is all about. So, it's really not fair to blame the Majlis Fatwa for what they've been deciding, even though I think both parties (majlis fatwa & yoga practitioners) has not done their studies thoroughly.

It's not the time to stop your business now. It's time to change.

Instead of Yoga Studio, it should be ASANA Studio.

* I read somewhere that Yoga Studio in an oxymoron. Do people need a studio to unite with god? It doesn't make sense at all! Hahahahaha!!!!

80% vs 20%

Nice article being forwarded by email from a friend. I just got it this morning. I hope piah zadora won't charge me guilty of plagiarism for putting this article online ha ha ha. Yeah, this is not mine but I do think it's worth 3 minutes of your time, so please please read....

Interesting quote from the movie 'Why did I get married?'
In most cases, especially in relationships, you will only get 80% of
what you NEED and you will hardly get the other 20% that you WANT in
your relationship. There is always another person (man or women) that
you will meet and that will offer you the other 20% which is lacking
in your relationship that you WANT And believe me, 20% looks really
good when you are not getting it at all in your current relationship.
But the problem is that you will always be tempted to leave that good
80% that you know you have, thinking that you will get something
better with the other 20% that you WANT
But as reality has proven, in most cases, you will always end up with
having the 20% that you WANT and loosing the 80% that you really NEED
and that you already had.
Be careful in deciding between what you WANT and NEED in your life.

Adultery happens when you start looking for what you don't have. 'Wow,
this girl in my office is a real looker. But it's not her Wynona Rider
features that got me. I'm crazy about her because she's also
understanding, intelligent, tender - so many things that my spouse is
not'

Somewhere along the way, you'll find a woman or a man who will be more
charming or sensitive. More alluring. More thoughtful. Richer. Have
greater sex appeal. And you will find a woman or man who will need you
and pursue you and go loco over you more than your spouse ever did.

Because no wife or husband is perfect. Because a spouse will only have
80% of what you're looking for. So adultery takes place when a husband
or wife looks for the missing 20%. Let's say your wife is melancholic
by nature.

You may find yourself drawn to the pretty clerk who has a cherry laugh
no matter what she says: 'I broke my arm yesterday, Hahahaha . . ..'

Or because your wife is a homebody in slippers and pajamas, smelling
of garlic and fish oil, you may fall for a fresh-smelling young sales
representative that visits your office in a sharp black blazer, high
heels, and a red pencil-cut skirt Or because your husband is the quiet
type, your heart may skip a beat when you meet an old college flame
who has the makings of a talk show host.

But wait! That's only 20% of what you don't have.

Don't throw away the 80% that you already have!

That's not all. Add to your spouse's 80% the 100% that represents all
the years that you have been with each other. The storms you have
weathered together. The unforgettable moments of sadness and joy as a
couple. The many adjustments you have made to love the other. The
wealth of memories that you've accumulated as lovers.

Adultery happens when you start looking for what you don't have.

But faithfulness happens when you start thanking God for what you
already have.

But I'm not just talking about marriage.

I'm talking about life!

About your jobs.
About your friends.
About your children.
About your lifestyles.

Are you like the economy airline passenger that perennially peeks
through the door of the first class cabin, obsessed with what he's
missing? 'They have got more leg room! Oh my, their food is served in
porcelain! Wow, their seats recline at an 80% angle and they've got
personal videos!'

I guarantee you'll be miserable for the entire trip! Don't live your
life like that. Forget about what the world says is first class. Do
you know that there are many first class passengers who are miserable
in first class -- because they are not riding in a private Lear Jet?

The main message???

If you start appreciating what you have right now, wherever you are,
you are first class!

Have a pleasant day .

Which petrol brand should suit you better?

Lazy to experiment, I had never tried other then Shell petrol. When it was still affordable, the V-Power has always been the only petrol going into my car's petrol tank but as we are paying higher petrol price that what we're supposed to be paying, I was only able to use the normal RON97 petrol.

Recently, my cousin had suggested me and my father to try out the BHP petrol. He claimed that his car performed better and saves more fuel while on the BHP infinity petrol.

I gave it a try and it turns out that BHP Infinity petrol gives a better mileage for town driving compared to Shell petrol. Anyway, for long distance high speed driving, it turns out to be not so lean. These are my findings based on RON 97 petrol, and was tried on my honda civic with 2 liter B series engine. I will also display my result with Esso/Mobil petrol as well. Those numbers are averaged from 3 results of each condition, a normal practice for any science experiment if you can remember it well.

Method of testing:

As I've been using Shell, I tested with Shell petrol first. As my petrol tank doesn't have the valve at the entering, i was able to fill in the petrol till it reach the tip and i immediately put the cap on. I reset the odometer to '0' and drive to each condition until it reaches 100 km and I look for another petrol and refueled till it reach the tip. There are 2 parameters should be taken into account.

1. The mileage from odometer
2. Amount of petrol being refilled.

For example, the mileage from the odometer reads at 123.2 km and the amount of petrol being refilled is let 14.8 liter. The formulae is

Fuel consumption = Mileage / petrol usage

so in this case is

Fuel Consumption = 123.2 km / 13.95 liter = 8.8315

I repeated this test 3 times to get the average for each driving condition (town, highway speed and high speed driving), as normally i would do it in JB for town driving, then go up to KL on the highway for highway speed and high speed driving test, and drive in KL for town driving again and go back down to JB again. I recorded all the results, divide by three and come out with these results.

Before trying out the other petrol brands, I will try to dry up my tank before refilling in for 3 times before I started out the test. I might not need to fill up my tank as 3 times of filling in other petrol after drying up is enough to ensure the left out of the other brands should have been totally replaced.

So here are the results!

Shell using the Premium RON97 petrol
BHP using the RON97 INFINITY
Esso/Mobil using the RON97 (purple one)

Town driving:

Shell : 8.8 km/liter
Esso/Mobil : 8.9 km/liter
BHP : 9.4 km/liter

Highway Driving @ 110 km/h:

Shell : 12.4 km/liter
Esso/Mobil : 11.8 km/liter
BHP : 11.9 km/liter

High speed driving @ 170 km/h and more (with VTEC on)

Shell : 9.8 km/liter
Esso/Mobil : 8.9 km/liter
BHP : 7.8 km/liter

Don't ask for other brands like caltex and especially petronas, as I've never get a decent mileage with petronas petrol for any kind of driving.

Are we paying the right price?

I've been busy for the past few weeks and no wonder there's not so much of update eh? Anyway, I've been following closely what was going on and Malaysia seems to be okay but there are some issues that boggled my mind.

The government has been asking the business owners, operators and distributors to reduce on the price due to the decrement of the petroleum price, globally, but not locally.

But is the government 'cakap serupa bikin'? As the global oil price stated, it's now way around USD70 per barrel, of when the local petrol and diesel price was increased back in July, the oil price was at USD147 per barrel. Our local RON97 price was increased from RM1.92 to RM2.70 and Diesel was increased from RM1.58 to RM2.58, plus a subsidy of RM0.30 per liter, that means the market price for the petrol is actually at RM3.00 per liter and RM2.88 per liter for diesel.

Last time, before oil price was increased, the market price for Diesel is RM1.58, whereas the diesel price for the industry, which is following the market price was sold at around RM2.70 per liter. There was a subsidy of more than a ringgit per liter.

It's clear now that the oil price has dropped more than half but our local petrol and diesel price has not dropped even 1/3 of the price. It is clear that we are actually paying more than the market price now. The non subsidized Diesel for Industry is sold at around RM1.20~RM1.30 as for the time being, of which the subsidized diesel is at RM2.05?

What is going on now? A source, who is driving the tanker truck for petronas (who asked not to be disclosed) also confirmed that, the manufacturers/factories started to order diesel in bulks to be sent to their business premises, as it has never happened before. All this while, the factories and manufacturers bought the subsidized diesel from the petrol station. Now they ordered it directly from Petronas, using the non-subsidized industry rate which is very much lower than the local market price.

I just would like to say that, our economic expert were so blind that they cannot see this to happen. All this while, what were they doing rather than being paid for not doing the right thing to forecast the economy situation?

I've also proven it right to my friend in RHB investment department that the oil price will drop to USD70. The bet is still on.

On the 17 and 18th last month, I went to Hanoi with my parents and my brother in law. I snapped some pictures and those can be viewed here

Pernahkah anda terfikir, pemandu teksi membayar sewa-beli teksi Proton Iswara sebanyak rm80 sehari, bersamaan RM2400 sebulan.

Something to ponder....

I was about to write an entry since yesterday as while I was waiting for the Subuh prayer in the morning, I watched about the Muslim community in Albania, which was once a communist country.

In 1964-1967, as the communist rules, religious groups and any related activities with religion is being prohibited. The muslims there had to pray and preach in silent. Mosques were turned into something like social clubs or something, how sad.

The Islamic awareness has raised back in 1994, since the fallen of the communist empire. The islamic community was being fully supported by the businessmen all over Albania.

They sent their potential scholars to study in the Middle East and coming back managing their Islamic madrasah (spelt madraseja) to be ran as any other ordinary schools providing all sort of religious to modern education to the students.

They don't have to wear any uniform and yet they can perform well in their studies and yet become a very good muslim. They started their classes by reciting al-quran first before getting into the conventional classes.

I envy them for being able to emphasize Islam as a way of life rather than just being a muslim for the sake of inheriting it from the ancestors. They have never called themselves a Muslim country, and being a Muslim means being a minority in their own country.

Comparing to us?

Sorry lah.. We're not there yet.. as I've been to the accessory shop for the 2 days (yesterday and today), most Malays who come to the sho didn't fast. They smoke as they like, bought drinks from the neighbouring mamak shop like nobody's business and eat in front of me like it's just a normal day.

It's more humiliating actually to see a malay woman who is not fasting, not only eating but also freely smoking in the shop.

And today, previously, I went to the same shop to do some minor headlight and foglight repair, an aged malay who was not fasting, asked the wife or the girlfriend to buy him a pack of dunhill cigarette and a can of drink from the mamak shop next to it.

And I felt more humiliated when the shop's staff asked me to have my lunch. They said, nowadays it's okay not to fast, not like before.

WHO SAYS SO?

Why do i blog less nowadays.

FYI, my last 10 entries was from July to current, of which last time, there would bemore than 10 entries in a fortnight.

And my English is worsening, due to I'm no longer be able to speak English to anyone, as I do much of the talking to my laptops, cameras and cars and not forgetting all my musical instruments.

Back in the year of 2006, most of my time was spent on reading other people's blog. I read Zetty's blog almost everyday, and at that time also, I forced Taiko to also start his own blog. He did it, and he did it very well.

Back in 2008, errr.. currently, I spend most of my time facebooking until today, when I realised that I've been wasting most of my time there. But I closed most of my photography deals from facebook. Thanx to facebook but Battle of The Band, Mob Wars and Real Time Racing has definitely made me out of focus.

And plus, I'm spending most of my brain idling time to think about photography. I even dreamt of photographying my 2 nephews while they're playing on my tummy. (How's that uh? Heheh)

Pardon for all those 'just created' vocabs as you know I always did.

All my Canon and Nikon gears are scattered all over the house. Not to mention all the other accessories and lightings. Gosh! My 3 rooms apartment that seems too big for me to live alone last time is sooner becoming a small hut for me and all my things.

I have yet bought a set of Drums as I wish but I do think that I need a bigger house to put all my things together. Thanx to Omen who sold my first Strat Fender, to Amat who are so happy to own and sold the guitar I won during the Maxis U2 song singing competition, to Ikhwan who broke my RM300 Samick Acoustic guitar and to my cousin for keeping my RM80 Kapok guitar.

Other wise, those guitars would be such a burden in addition to my Les Paul, another Fender Strat, a Samick Electric Acoustic, an Ibanez bass and my first ever Yamaha Classical Guitar. Not to mention the Marshall amp, Roland amp, Laney amp, Ibanez amp and that cheap Woodtree amp that I'm still keeping.

I have this problem on focusing on what I want to do.

Seriously I'm gonna start with one thing. I think I spent too much time on Facebook last time. It's time to quit playing all those stupid (but addictive) games.

I wanna read blogs again. Today I did visited a few blogs and I realized that I miss reading nice and funny blogs. Again, I read Taiko's, Zetty's and just found The Blog of Anak Mat Nor of which I think is very sincere and colourful.

The key of being a good readable blog is again being sincere of what you write.

Let's get sincere again....

Today I realize that...

Last time when I searched for 'Izham' on the net, the results were pretty few pages.

Today, all of a sudden I found out that there are so many people named Izham. And the drama producers were also using Izham as the name of one of the character in that drama.

Izham is always being portrayed as someone gentleman enough, nice and an absolutely an ideal boyfriend.

Of which I think is not. Most Izhams are bad and irritating (that includes me).

When I was still schooling, I managed to find only one Izham, that was when I was in standard 2. His name is Mohd Noor Izham.

Now, Izham is almost everywhere.

And today, I've got a joke sms telling that Anwar Ibrahim has swore upon the picture of DYMM Yang Di Pertuan Agong in Segambut to become the Prime Minister. Yeah. He was supposed to be the PM by 16 Sept, but what has gone wrong eh?

In the Tyra Bank show today, a mom loses her baby for being addicted to drugs and alcohol.

And it's pretty sad to see the policemen patrolling around like nobody business nowadays.

That means what?

It's either the crime rate is getting higher... or?

The economy is so bad that the policemen has to go out more often so that they can pow more and more people as people nowadays are unable to pay them as much as they used to be paying before.

But I'm quite happy with the movement of the global oil pricing. We should by now lessen our dependencies on the petroleum based products.

Even though, (yeah even though) prices of the other products has never gone down even though the oil price has gone down, and the local currency has gone better towards the USD.

And I realize one thing that, by days, I would prefer to stay at home more than before. I spent almost RM20 per day compared to those who went out.

I've gotta be a cheapskate too. My civic rather needs more money than anything that I own right now. Hehehe.

Not to mention amateurs who managed to embarassed themselves whenever they were flashing their high beams when they are about to reach my car.

So long dudes... ciao..

Ramadhan

  1. Gua ada sepupu yang bernama Ramadhan. Dia dinamakan Ramadhan bukan sebab dia dilahirkan di bulan Ramadhan atau dia tak kerja lain selain berpuasa. Dia dinamakan Ramadhan sebab dia ada abang nama Syawal, Rejab & sebagainya..

  2. Masa kekecik dulu gua teringin nak makan kuih tepung pelita untuk berbuka puasa. Gua mintak la duit lebih kat mak gua. Masa tu gua tak tau apa namanya kuih tu tapi gua bilang sama mak gua, kuih tu sedap giler. (Cemana gua tau sedap? Ha kan dah kantoi! hahahaha, kawan gua cakap... Burrrpp opss). Pastu masa rehat gua kena denda pulak sebab gua tertumbuk muka kawan gua sebab dia minum air depan gua. Pastu rehat keluar lewat. Gua pegi cari kuih tu dah habis. Sebagai gantinya gua beli la PISANG GORENG.

Mak gua marah giler kat gua. Dia kata setakat pisang goreng baik takyah beriya mintak duit. Gua macam kecik hati. Gua telan goreng pisang tu semua sorang2. Geram gua...

  3. Gua suka banget kalau mak gua bikin sirap sirap selasih. Gua dulu suka ngada2 nak suruh bapak gua pujuk gua kalau gua tak tahan puasa. Last2 dia malas nak pujuk dia sua je air sirap selasih kat mulut gua. Hehehe.. Tersipu2 gua masa tu. Langsung gua dah tak ngada2 lagi dah lepas tu.

  4. Bulan Ramadhan selalunya orang ambil peluang untuk jadi kurus. Jadi kurus ni maksudnya mengurangkan berat badan, bukan menukar nama jadi Encik Kurus. Hahaha. Adakah gua kurus? Tapi seriousla, skrg gua rasa macam gua nak cari awek kurus pulak. Senang nak masuk dalam poket.

  5. Dulu masa zaman sekolah, budak2 yang tak puasa kena public caning. Bukannya diorang malu pun, tapi siap buat muka bangga lagi.

Banyak pahala awek tu. Hehehe. Gua? Manjang je xde duit.

  7. Masa zaman lepas SPM, gua kerja cuci kereta di bulan puasa lagi. Yang gua tak tahan sekali kalau kena cuci motor polis trafik. Dahla susah. Pastu polis tu tak puasa, minum dan isap rokok depan gua.

M.O.S.H

Nak poyo sikit boleh tak? Hehehehe...

http://www.reverbnation.com/mosh

As i was browsing through my old albums, I stumbled upon an album of my band, playing in the jamming studio back in 1995.

It was way formed 14 years ago, back in the end of 1994, after I finished my SPM exams. I was 17, who only knows how to play Acoustic Guitar, together with my brother, Ikhwan, who knows nothing, we went jamming. I only know some Metallica & G`n`R songs, plus some from Wings.

I do think we sound stupid, Ikhwan played the drums without knowing how to synchronize himself, but he improves from time to time. That picture was among those pictures we took back in 1995, Ikhwan in action. We managed to get the idea how to play the drums when we just came back from Umrah, back in 1995. Hahaha.. ada ke macam tu... but it's true!

We teamed up with a lot of people, to get ourselves a good bass player, until one day, my brother has just came back from 'Khemah Ibadat' and introduced me someone he met there.. Kimi... and he became our bass player for years, until today. Bayangkan pegi khemah ibadat, orang nak suruh beribadat, ini tak, pegi carik bass player... Hahaha.. Ikhwan ikhwan...

After 14 years, my brother Izzat has also grown up and in 2 years, i inherited him all that I have learnt in 15 years and he's a better guitar player than myself. Salute. He's now one of our band members since he plays better than myself. Saya tunggu masa aje untuk ditendang keluar.. hahaha.. :p

We still keep on playing the same songs, Metallicas and G`n`Rs. I do compose my own song but we've got no time to sit together to practice, as Ikhwan in Penang, Kimi in Serembn, myself in JB and Izzat in Russia.

Not to mention the latest addition to the band who is Hafiizh, my cousin who will be on the vocals, who is living in Melaka.

One band lives apart huh?

I have uploaded some songs, you know, just for the sake of having something to remember, am getting older, and being able to play music was one of my dream when I was small, all was self taught, self initiation and I'm really proud of it.

I dedicated a profile for my band at http://www.reverbnation.com/mosh. I'm adding more songs into it. I regret that I lost one of our demo, the only demo tape that we used to have. Last time, there's no technology like we have nowadays and analogous tape was prone to damage and loss.

Long live M.O.S.H.. hehehe (poyo)

Getting annoyed...

I'm very annoyed when someone asked me to call him/her back if they have something to talk to me; and even when I heard someone else doing it also, I would be getting very annoyed.

Being a homer, I seldom went out to town and seldom see other people too. So I would always end up got nothing to say in this blog. When I go out, I would either do my job, see partners, go back to kampung or jalan-jalan; of which rather as boring as it repeats by itself over and over again. Yeah, that's what I do my entire life.

Today, I intend to go out for some missions;
1. to claim the fuel subsidy for my car
2. to get a bus ticket to go back to seremban
3. to submit photos for printing
4. to get a new bag for my camera

and lastly to get some munchies to help me ease myself while doing my work at home.

Things went well for mission 1 and amazingly there are still tickets for my mission 2 while people were still busy talking about how the 'ulat tiket' manipulated the ticket price. I managed to settle mission 3 but mission 4 as there's no bag that I wanted so much.

So, I went to the supermarket to grab things I wanted, but you know, men would never fail to be amazed by some hot ladies while shopping.

And this time, it's a mom with 2 kids!

In my amazeness, I keep on walking 2-3 times in front of her as I can't believe it that she looks so young! She's so pretty that I think there's no men wouldn't take a second turn to look at her. So it wasn't me alone.

Not wasting my time, even though there's a hot someone around, I need to rush back home as I'm also buying an ice-cream. I was looking for an express cashier but it was unavailable, then when I was about to reach the cashier queue, I saw that pretty lady with her 2 kids again, mesmerized by her, I just walk to any cashier queue without looking.

I was waken up from my mesmerization when a trolley hit me from behind and as I took a look at the person behind me, I just realized that I was in the wrong lane. Wrong in the sense that;

there are two customers in front of me, one lady with a full load trolley and behind her was an uncle with 2 full load trolley. OMG. Really..

I was looking around for a shorter queue but it seems like my queue was the shortest queue. There's no other queue to go so I decided to stick with it.

I'm beginning to get annoyed when the lady with that one full load trolley started to call her friend; asking the friend to call her back. I guess the friend asked her why when she said, 'because i need you to come over here as I didn't bring enough cash to pay the groceries'.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

Luckily the friend she called turned up quite soon. The wait started as the uncle got his turn. He bought so many things, at least 3 units for each item. And he complains for everything that he doesn't like. Complain this, complain that, in a very annoying way. I waited, I waited, I waited, I waited ...................................

.
.
.

Yeah, 15 mins already gone. The other queues are getting so much longer than I can't imagine. I was started to think that it might be a wrong day for a small purchaser like me to go shopping!

When I was about to reach my turn, I took a look at the cashier's display. The uncle is gonna pay for an amount of RM1877.45. Must be a singaporean buying a stock for a month!

As I was about to pay my groceries, I asked..

"Dekat setengah jam saya beratur, boleh tukarkan ais krim saya tak? Cair dah pun"

The faggot cashier answered, "Dah bayar tak boleh tukar bhang... "

Geli aku..

Marvel on Earth

I stopped breathing when I saw the place!
The water is so crystal clear that you can see almost EVERYthing at the bottom. Luckily I arrived when no one is yet there.

One of the hut being provided for the visitors, for rental about 25k.... in IDR (Indonesian Rupiah).

Too bad I didn't bring my swimsuit.

The velvia effect was obtained using vivid setting on my D300 body and of course my favourite polarizer filter.

Well said, this is one of the hidden marvel on earth

Uplifting Wedding Photography

Natural light photography is something that everyone must master in order to become a good photographer but as the time went by, most photographers would love to be able to play and control with lights.

I would love to produce such a high quality picture through out all of my photography works and it was an honour when they say, "Gambar macam magazinelah!!!"

Something that is rarely being done, I've experimented Nikon CLS application with outdoor wedding photography. We would normally see people play with 1 or 2 light sources but I used 3 to 4 this time, and it's done outdoor!

That's the clear advantage of flash photography over studio lighting, where it's much cheaper, more versatile and mobile.

Credit to Ayu Surya for allowing me to post her wedding pictures into my blogs, website and forums.

For a complete gallery of her wedding pictures, please visit Ayu Surya & Saiful Gallery on my website.

p/s :: The oil price is definitely going down. I bet it will get as low as below USD80 per barrel.

Nikon Event at the Ikano Power Center.

A week after the D700 review, I came up to KL back again, this time for a Nikonian class and an event at the Ikano.

I myself had to give a talk on How to take sharp photos. Admitting that the first time was pretty not easy for me but I was actually having a lot fun doing it, especially when people rushing over me to shoot me with questions just after the talk was over. Together giving talk with me is Joe Loon, another Nikonian Trainer, who has been so kewl on stage. (picture is by courtesy of Sean Liew from Nikonian Academy)

Remember this photo? It can be viewed in my photo gallery at my website. It has been chosen by Nikonian director to be printed out for the exhibition at the Ikano. Kewl eh?

Andrew & Sean. (I hope they don't mind I'm posting this.

The same event would be held in the next weekend at the same place, Ikano. If you have free time, why not give me a visit then?

The best thing was my family was also around. I went to see them for a while at the IKEA and spent a lil time my nephew AFI. I learnt one thing about this lil boy now. He's so into GADGETS! I cannot tell how excited he was after seeing my DSLR and wants to get hold of it. Maybe you should get to be like your uncle one day uh? Hehehehe.

D700 :: The wait so worth it.

I've been waiting for a non pro body of Full Frame camera from Nikon to compare with the superb image quality of the canon non pro body full frame camera, the 5D.

It's the D700, that was just launched a few weeks back. And the first unit has arroved in Malaysia and I was honoured to be among the first to test and review the camera for Malaysia.

Saturday has been the day I waited. This was what I produced.

This post is featured in www.nikonian.com.my. Click here to get straight to the entry.

D700 simply rocks and is f*ckin awesome!

It's finally almost completed, but the most important thing, it's ONLINE!

Pleashe pleashe check out my website, www.izham-miyake.com

Check this facts out.

1. As of today, the Crude Petroleum Oil price has dropped to USD 127. Is there any indication by the government to reduce the national gas price. Arab Saudi should be complimented for their move to increase their petroleum production for half million barrel per day since few weeks ago.

2. Indonesia, who has become a total importer of petroleum has a lower price of gas being sold in their country. Malaysia, which is still exporting petroleum has a higher gas price than them. Well, it's a better decision as I'm expecting the oil price is mostly caused by the olimpics and it will drop again. Can i summ up that Indonesians MAY have better brain than MALAYSIA?

3. The disbursement of petrol subsidy payment is done by POS Malaysia for cars below 2000cc. 2000c and above will be done by the JPJ. Comparing the ratio of the number of cars below 2000cc to above 2000cc is like 25:1. Does POS malaysia didn't get to have any commission from the govt? And why didn't the disbursement of all cars be done by the POS Malaysia? Why do they have to differentiate both segments?

4. Hmmm.. let us think on only these 3 facts for the time being.

Comel eh?

Life must go on...

We are all been having headaches of what's going on in Malaysia lately. With all the price hiked up, there are more unexpected events are to be happening in the near future.

Remember last time I told you to watch Keluarga di 9 at TV9, for those who had missed it, you may check it out here

As for this past few weeks, I've been busy moving out of my house in Bandar Baru Uda to an apartment in Taman Tampoi Indah II, still in JB, smaller house but good enought for me alone. I've inherited most of the furnitures and enjoyed living quite comfortable in here.

Expenses has been so high recently, I may have to cut on some expenses. I've no long term projects for the time being. It's like 'kais pagi makan pagi'.

I'm glad that I just finished a few projects which is about to be delivered this week. Raja Ezrin's wedding would require me to deliver a custom album, a frame and a normal sticky album which I consumed most of my free time during those hectic days to do them. Then come Azrai's wedding in Seremban then Marini's project of doing the profiling for talents of her new talent agency.

Tomorrow, I may have to go up to KL to deliver.

So time to sleep. Hope to see you guys again soon.

:)

Imagine!

There are reasons why i didn't update this blog so frequent anymore. Aside from being extra busy moving out and get my famly to settle down in Senawang, Seremban, I was quite busy with photography projects and so on.

Plus, if I updated this blog last week, It would have been full of anger and hatred.

Who wouldn't be 'benganged' with the recent petroleum product price increase?

Last time, when the new rate was introduced, my Honda Civic full tank was more or less RM96. Now i have to fork out another RM40 for a full tank of petrol. It went much higher for my frontier which is using diesel. It used to be RM110 per tank. Now, it is an additional RM70 per tank.

The inflation is highly expected.

I remembered last time the government says that the high car tax was in order to support the petroleum subsidy to the rakyat but now, even though the subsidy has been lessen, the high car tax was not even reduced.

So what's going on?

And I don't understand why do we have to pay premium price for the petroleum product in the first place?

In the UK for example. A just graduated young professional income was averaged at 2.3K pounds a month, despite of the high tax being impounded to them, they're enjoying 117 penny per litre (which is 1.17 pound per litre) for the unleaded petrol.

Comparing money to money, yes they are much higher in price which would be around RM7++ but comparing to their salary, that would be more or less 0.05% of their salary per litre.

In Malaysia, averaged income for a young professional is rated at RM1.8K a month. Our petrol price, RM2.70 per litre is already 0.15%, which is 0.1% more that people in the UK.

Imagine the poor people? Those who make their living with rm600 a month? Can they really afford it?

Imagine..!

* Today, please watch TV9 around 1-2PM. I think if they didn't sensor my stupid comment, i would on the Keluarga di 9.

Recently...

Hello!

I'm busy giler okay. Since my father is retiring soon, I'm busy of getting a new house for myself. And next week, I'll be busy transferring all my things into the new house then, and later to transfer all the belongings of my parents and Farah over to either Seremban or my kampung in Melaka.

I'll be staying alone. Nak join?

Well, those businesses keep me away from the Internet most of the times. (Even though I'm freaking addicted to the Battle of The Bands in facebook)

Now,

I hate reading newspapers. No matter which newspaper, i'm freaked out when i read 'em.

Is there anyone who can think straight. Didn't these people know to differentiate between what is right and what is not?

I do not understand what is happening in the UMNO right now. Last time, yes, everyone in the party, even root members would support any decision made by the leaders. Yes, there were times where leaders stand for what is right for the people, and for the country in general.

And those were the time when people, the rakyat has not turned down the BN government during the elections. We can see clearly the direction of the leaders and the rakyat were all ready to work for it.

There were once where Malays turned their head from the BN government, just because the former prime minister made a decision to sack his own predecessor. Well, during that time, as the sentiment goes, the malays voted the BN candidates out but then the non-malays think that it was best to strengthen the government by giving their full support as the former prime minister had done something they can be proud of for the local economy.

Now, the most rakyat had turned down the BN candidates again because they think the current government is not capable to rule the country. As simple as that.

Why?

For the last 2-3 years, I've been not agreeing to the unproven facts that the economy of Malaysia was doing very well compared to the other countries. As the global economy is facing the bottom side of the wheel, Malaysian economy has continually growing like there was no problem at all.

I was facing the outcome of the bad economy and I've got to overcome them by myself. Everyone else does face the problem, especially those who were dealing in the US dollars.

Now, especially, the effect of the global economy has started to give an impact to the local way of life. The price of the daily necessities has increased to a level that may cause a real big problem if the price hike was not handled carefully by the government.

The ministers can easily say anything they want. They have the budget for all their expenses, including tolls, petrol and everything. The salary they earned from being a member of parliament and become a cabinet minister is totally nett income,

Why not eliminate the budget for their expenses and ask them to pay all their expenses using their own salary that they earned?

I bet, dia orang misti terbatuk punya.

And latest, TDM has announced to leave UMNO, of which I think that it's very inappropriate. Of course, if I was him, i might get hurted so much especially from what I read in the Berita Minggu today, a comment from Johari Baharum on his former boss, TDM himself.

Without mentioning the reason why Mahathir was doing all that, he keep mentioning that TDM has not been inline with what he has been saying or done when he was in power.

For me, Johari Baharom cannot be trusted at all, especially when he revealed bad things about someone, or the family who he has been so close with. He mentioned that, after he did not let Mukhriz to be uncontested in the pursuit of the Ketua Pemuda in Kubang Pasu, which Mukhriz lost, Dr. Siti Hasmah(DSH) was not willing to shake hand with him anymore.

What a jerk! Why should this become so personal? And why should he reveal all this personal thing about TDM and his family? Would you do that if you were in his (Johari Baharom) position? What kind of people who does this?

To be frank, this is Monica Lewinsky type of people.

It's true that last time, to be exact in 1999, TDM lose quite a lot of support from the malays in the election and AAB did helped him out without question to regain the supports from the malays. I would do that also, as that would help me to convince TDM to pick me as his predecessor. Everyone will also do that, right?

Nobody has urged TDM to step down that the rakyat was actually not opposing him for his capability to lead the country as in to be in full control of the economy and what not, but the losing of support was from the Malays, as a result of a riskful decision in order to save this country from a worse disaster.

Look at DSAI now, he's been badmouthing his own country everywhere he goes. Would you actually pick someone like this to be our leader?

No. TDM instead, always talk big about his country and been so protective about our country, and a lot of people from all over the world were proud of him being the only muslim who was able to stand against the western countries. And if it was not of him, globally, people would not know what Malaysia is. They were always been thinking that Malaysians were still living in a hut or rant on the trees.

At that time, the economy was not so good, and not really bad, but TDM has managed to save our country from being victimised by the money assaults. A lot of people were then complimented TDM on his simple reversal effect that works really well.

The situation is now different. It has never been in the history that the Samy Vellu lost his seat that he's been throning for so long. It has never been in history that 5 states and 1 federal territory to fall on the opposition hands. The people has never been this MAD and ANGRY!

Why?

The economy is actually not as it was reported. Other races felt very insecure with the current development of no further major infrastructural projects, of which to produce more income and generate more money circulation within the country. The price of things has never been this high.

Rakyat has disbelief and lost their trust towards the current government. There have been so many bad unrevealed stories like KJ was in influence of the country, which driven to a lot of bad decisions made by AAB, and many more!

Lee Kuan Yew called him "THE RICHEST UNEMPLOYED"

When TDM was in power, there were no such things.

Well, of course, when TDM stepped down, AAB was all good in his eyes. He asked all UMNO members to give his full support to AAB, of which at that time i told myself, habislah Malaysia. Why? Adala...

Now that things has turned differently, I would do the same as TDM to ask him to step down. This time, rakyat has given a clear signal that AAB is not favoured as he was unable or not capable to solve a lot of issues, especially on the economic movements.

The past few days, Malaysia lost Pulau Batu Putih (Pedra Branca) to Singapore. Even though Malaysia regained the access to the Middle Rocks (they say it's a win-win situation or we have advantage over the Singapore), we still lose something that is ours.

What's the next 'Unfortunate Luck' (nasib malang) that we will face through?

I leave it to god. He knows what is best for the human beings.

Woman mistook naked thief for husband

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - A Malaysian woman woke up to a real-life nightmare, discovering that the naked man who had slipped into her bed in the middle of the night was a thief, not her husband, a newspaper said on Tuesday.

The 36-year-old housewife was asleep when the thief, noticing that her husband was fast asleep on the couch, quietly stripped off and lay down beside her, the Star newspaper said, quoting a police report filed in the eastern state of Terengganu.

The dozing woman's suspicions were raised when she spoke to him and his voice sounded strange, the paper said.

"She then went to another room and found her husband fast asleep on the couch. That's when she screamed, causing the thief to flee by leaping out the window together with the stolen items," it added.

Taken from Reuters

* Hahaha... Imagine if this happen to you? Imagine if the thief even made love to the lady? Gosh! People, be careful out there. Dahla kena rompak, silap-silap bini kena belasah dengan perompak pulak.

Nationals

It's been quite sometimes that I've not been on the Net, especially to sit on this blog, and do other regulars like friendster or facebook.

Just recently, i was hooked up with a game: Battle of the Bands, one of the facebook's game.

So I would like to call up you guys to join me in the game. Hehe..

Let's get it straight as I'll be busy again this week.

The demise of Tan Sri S.M. Nasimuddin was still being talked about by most of his friends and family members. During his funerals, I was so surprised to see his friends from all over the world came for his funerals.

People from Australia, South Africa, African Countries, Arab Saudi, US, UK, Korea, China and etc, came to the funeral and waited till the demised body of Tan Sri safely buried.

This is just a proof of how many people in the world that loved him while he was alive. In Malaysia only, almost 4000 people was and still working with him. Not to say in the Australia, the South Africa, and other countries of the world, of which each country's business is estimated to be much bigger that he already have in Malaysia.

I can see Datuk K as amongst the first to be seen. I also saw Muhammad Hassan of Negeri's Sembilan MB. Jamaluddin Jarjis was also there. A lot more. He's being loved, and even when he's gone, people would still love him.

As Tun came, I was so excited, as agreed by brother in law, we all missed him. I missed everything about him. I missed all his gestures when he was the prime minister. I missed to hear all his hopeful and announcements over the upcoming his plans for the country.

Tun said, Tan Sri is one of a kind that no one can ever reach or beat him in terms of achievement. He's such a SUPERMAN.

During the recital of Yasin verses, as I was looking at Tun, smiling at myself, remembering all the good things and funny things when he was there, all of a sudden, I saw his nose turning red and his tearsslowly running down his cheeks while holding himself from getting too sad.

I became touched myself and I just can't hold my tears from there on. I can feel all the love from all these people who were there to together walk him over his journey to the burial ground.

An Imam from Los Angeles assured Puan Sri of Tan Sri is a member of Jannah. There's a lot of God's greatness that has happened, especially to the demised body of Tan Sri himself, Subhanallah!

The prayer for the demised was lead by, if I'm not mistaken is the 23rd generation of Propher Muhammad S.A.W from Mecca. It's proving a fact that Tan Sri is someone who loves to contribute to the people. From there on, I told myself to do all the best in life, even though i know that I'm facing a lot of difficulties for the time being, when there's a will there's a way. I just want to be like him.

I've heard a boy asking his father, why there are so many people around. Why during his father's funeral, the people were not as this much.

The father wasn't able to say anything because he was full of tears there and then. I cannot hold myself there anymore too. Hmmm...

...

My daydreaming of thoughts was suddenly being truncated when everyone was ready to carry the demised body out of the mosque, we were stopped by some people. AH! It was Abdullah Badawi. See, even this time also he was late!

He's late for everything! Now people have to wait for him as we're actually been rushing as the body has been too long already.

Luckily he came. I don't see Najib anywhere there.

And I don't think I can see Najib anywhere there and then in the future of the country. Yesterday, Ku Li and Muhyiddin Yassin has voiced out their intention to race for the presidential and deputy presidential post of UMNO.

And only now Abdullah agreed on the extension of the age of retirement for the governmnet servant. Why now? That issue has been prolonged since last year. Why can't he agrees there and then?

Obvious that he's now trying to convince the people more than doing he was supposed to be doing.

Recorrect the economy!

So, as I can see it, Abdullah is already going off.

Najib is also 'KE LAUT' lah.

Satu Kehilangan Besar Kepada Malaysia...

Al-Fatihah...

Despite the fuel price hikes...

Shahrir Samad has brilliantly announced the plan to introduce RON 95 to be subsidized and RON 99 or higher, not to be subsidized, which was meant for high-end car with high end engines.

And I was wondering how brilliant is this smart new Minister to not to know that most BMW & Mercedesz engine will cater for RON92 and above. Some will be able to consume RON 88.

Recently, he was planning to introduce Diesel at the market price and the subsidy will only be given to public transports, especially the school buses to avoid parents paying high for their children school bus fares.

And I was again wondering where did this 'brilliant' new minister went to study economics.

Pandai kan?

Well, all the other transporters (like rice transporters, flour, sugar, all necessities) don't use Diesel kah? And even to transport the Diesel will also use Diesel! And what about small time business owners (especially the Malays) who depended on their Diesel small lorries or 4WD to carry on with their small business.

All the heavy machineries in constructions, fabrications, factory, mining, every bullshit are also using Diesel. Enough with the Iron price peakening, the rise of Cement price (which we produce but also being exported so that they can play with price?), how are we going to continue with all our construction projects with this kind of price hikes?

With Diesel increment, all other things will be increased too! Sugar, rice, flour, every single cost will increase, not only the Diesel bro! It's a chain reaction.

I would say every industry is relying heavily on Diesel. A single sen increase is already a big change in the whole economy cycle cost. They can simply ask the industry to absorb, absorb and absorb. I want to ask, what do you guys minister absorbed?

You can pay low for the school bus fares but at the same time pay higher for rice, flour and sugar. Not to say all the other necessities.

It's very frustrating to know that the country is depending too much on the income generated from the Petroleum business by the Petronas. Can't those 'brilliant' 'ministress' think of any other activities that could be economically benificial to the country? Come on!

Guess how much will the Petrol/Diesel price would be in the country if we don't have the oil & gas industry? We should be paying premium price for petroleum products because we own that petroleum. It's our country's so return them back to the country. Make sense right?

Malaysia has generated so much income from the Taxes of Luxury import cars. These luxury imports cars were imposed such crazy Road Tax fees.

Investors has been investing so much money in Malaysia, specifically in Cyberjaya. Yeah, for the MSC Status companies, they were tax-free for the first 5 years and they should have been paying high tax by now. Name it, HSBC, EDS, BMW, DHL, Microsoft and so many more. Their transactions made me shitted in my pant man!!! Their tax should be shitting all over the country right now!

Malaysia has been exporting Petroleum, Palm Oil, Rubber, Timber, Food, Cars (Not only Proton, Honda and a few brands which were locally assembled were also being exported) and so many other things. These are not income? And there are a lot a lot and a lot more things that generated income for the country.

LHDN has been able to collect more and more tax from year to year. This means nothing kah?

Why can't the government do something about the government expenses? Rather than increasing the pay for the government servants, why not let them do business? So that they can have extra income. Let them work efficiently from 8 to 4, no in between rest, meals and lunch provided and all go back on time. No overtime. They can also live healthier life by going to sports after work.

Rather than doing meetings/seminars/courses at the hotels (of which the participants don't really take them seriously) why can't you do it at your own expensive offices in Putrajaya? Save on travelling claims for petrol and tolls. Not to mention the Air Fare ticket claims!

What's the purpose of building the expensive offices if you can't make full use of it.

When there's a project that is related to technology, why can't the government opt for the cheaper local or asian solutions rather than expensive by the westerners brands?

Why can't the cabinet propose to cut off their salaries rather than to ask the people to cut off their expenses (like Najib did once). Why should the 'ministress' waste the government's money on fuel for having escorts everytime they're moving anywhere in the country? Why should they be given ways when there's a traffic jam?

Why can't they use the public transport like most of us do? Why can't they ride on the train everyday to work just like everyone of us do?

They've never experienced the people's hardship, right, so what do they do know about our hardships?

Why can't they ride on motorbike to work. Or drive a Proton BLM all by themselves to work? Just like other people is doing. Go park at the basement rather than parking at the building's car porch.

This will definitely saves a lot of money! Or maybe they can just ride a bicycle to work.

I notice that AAB's tummy is getting bigger. Maybe bicycle can help him on that.

The 'ministress' do not deserve all the facilities. They should provide all the facilities to people. They should be providing good life to the people, not for themselves. Those money they spent are not their effort at all. Those are people's effort. They only use them up, till dry and they only know to increase this and that.

What kind of leaders are those?

Come on. Bring more money to us. I think you guys are not as competitive as Dr. Mahathirlah. He brought in a lot of investors. Apara lu AAB. Cakap saja lebih. You went here and there in your RM200 million jet. Where are the investors that can pay higher tax to the country?

And further, UMNO should also lift the ban of the government Class 'A' officers to get involved in the politics. These people normally are highly respected people by the locals. And these officers are normally problem solvers. They can be good minister also.

Why at the first place AAB is discouraging the EGM pulak right now? Apa takut kah? If you're man enough, let them do it now. Face to face, put it live on TV! Call in Dr. Mahathir and face him there and then. Of course the talk about this matter never stop unless it is solved. This matter is clearly unsolved and need to solved ASAP!

As long as this matter is not solved, you cannot do anything with the country. People will not support you 'LAH!'

Sudah 'LAH'. You would never dare to do that 'LAH'. I'm very sure 'LAH'! Tulur kici 'LAH'.

* I've been super busy this week.
