A few more things..

Nashrex's blog has inspired me to write this post. He wrote these in his blog, and they trigerred me.

I'm more or less a thinker nowadays, you know, as I've finished all my work, i'll sit on my bed in my room and start to think about just anything that came across my mind. The key of what I was thinking is money. Why does all this got related to each other, i doubt that i can answer.

As I still haven't decided of what my future is gonna be, it's really depressing and stressing that I haven't really explored my potential to the max to make a living properly. Even though my earning is quite good, further i managed to save at least 1.5k a month, I know I could have done a lot much better.

I'm blessed to be able to quit my job and make a living by starting a messed-up business, so that I have more free time to think and write; something that I have never imagined myself doing. I hated writing since I was small, because I know there's nothing I can write about. When I was 12, i have problem in composing a 100-words-essay. Even in the Malay Language.

My writing is less structured, i know. It has never been focusing on what I am supposed to write. Portraying how messed-up my mind was, the more important thing is, I have actually thought of thousands of issues, in my head that I cannot actually express it out properly, especially in writing. Messed up with all the working papers, my blog, my letters to the authority regarding all the jobs, bla bla bla.. It's a total f*cked up.

Nah, lemme put things one by one.

Blog of the Dead

Remember i wrote about arfa adriana not so long time ago? The girl who has died of an unknown disease, and when I was passionately writing and digging everything about her, someone came up and asked me to stop all that. I don't mind because, yeah, I admit that sometimes things can just be too sensitive to some people. They were already sobbing in sorrow for the losses, and here I come to become a truthseeker; just to get to know the truth.

Now I may have found the answer of why am I so a busy-body and can't take things off my head.

I want the truth! About everything that doubted me!

Last time, I've got a lot of this kind of blog from my indon buddy, Kean, where he can still feel the warmth of love, of the blog owner who had died. And later he informed me about arfa adriana as well.

A few days back, Nashrex has posted about a girl Yna, who had just lost her sister and about a guy who manage to write a note before he passed away.

Both blogs have made me mourn in a way that, I feel like I was dreaming while awake. I can feel the sad weather around me, or maybe I'm just being emotionally driven by my fragile mind and heart. I don't feel like I'm alive. Yna, has posted a picture of her sister in a way that I feel so touched.

Anyway, the thrill is when I read the writing of the dead. He managed to go to the i-so-hated Indonesian Night. Clearly he's an Indonesian songs lover too. He had written about his life, love life, starting from his first love, second love and an unavoidable love of him and his own adopted sister, who happened to be muted since she was small, Sha is her name. He's even engaged to Sha but God must have loved him more than Sha did.

Significantly, I fell in love with the background songs of these blogs of the dead. How did I liked Siti at the first place? When I heard 'Kau Ku Sayang' in Arfa Adriana's blog. And now, it's "Pulang - Dewi Lestari", which really made all the things I read straightly penetrates my mind and heart. I'm gonna love that song too.

And I would pray to god, "Ajarkanlah Ilmu Tentang Cinta" (teach me everything about love), which I really need now. I may have the same experience like that guy.

The so beloved Mawi of you guys

Wake up! Let's get back to life. Another issue that was written by Nashrex was about Mawi and Diana Rafar. Hehe. Not that I liked Mawi, but i just think that Mawi has started to forget his true himself.
  1. Mawi's engaged someone
  2. Diana Rafar is a girlfriend of someone else (Zamarul)
  3. Mawi denied when people say that he likes Diana
  4. Diana also denied, of course especially when she already has a bf.
But what's with sms'es and mms'es Mawi sent to Diana every day, and he even contacted Diana in the middle of the night. I myself would get pissed off if someone talking to my gf at that time, wouldn't you think so?

Here's the catch. Mawi went fishing, manage to catch fish and send it over to Diana Rafar's house, as early as 6AM in the morning. Crazy. Who's crazy? Is Mawi is crazy, as he's out of his mind, or he's just crazy about that supra (pronounced as supgha) cutie Diana Rafar?

Further, Maestro warned Diana about the fuss but the fact is, Mawi himself boasted about all the things happened between him and Diana. Pity the fiancee in Kulai. I can replace Mawi if you want hehe. And now, maestro even want to be the mediator between Zamarul, Mawi and Diana Rafar.

I would like to say that, Maestro should sometime stay off other people's problem.

My View :: I'm honest this time. As Mawi is a Kampung Boy, and I myself used to be a kampung boy, we would show our appreciation to people like that, just like how Mawi did it. When some nice people come over to my place, i'll greet them nicely, smile as wide as possible, so it can reach my ears, not to mention my butt. Be supernice, if the langsat tree is fruitful, I'll climb it up and get the langsat, pack 'em nicely so that the guest can take it back with them. If i caught fish from the water pass, i'll spare them to my guest as well.

Maybe Mawi is just doing the same thing, being nice to people who just had been so nice to him. I think Mawi were just being honest, being himself, being a kampung boy, so he cannot wait to give the fish, so that he had to hand it over to Diana as early as 6AM. Hahahaha..

Come on guys, I'm not crazy of Mawi, not even to like him, but, as having my natural nature of a Kampung Boy, he may have acted like a nice Kampung Boy. We appreciate everyone who had been nice to us. And if Diana did not get it, pity her for being so heartless.

Whatever it is, only Mawi and Diana (and Allah) that knew everything about it.

about :: Yasmin Ahmad

The gossip that has been around for quite sometimes, which I think is quite true as it has been strengthened with the before & after pictures. It has been discussed in forums here and there.

From a quite trustful and close source, which had been telling me that Zulkiflee Ahmad, the actual name of Yasmin Ahmad was a singer at her young age. She was the 1st runner up in the Bintang RTM competition back in 1975. I would say she's adorable as she can sing, play guitar and piano, so it's really like someone i wanted to be.

When she went to study oversea, she had proven that she's been racely indiscriminative by giving her whole scholarship to a Chinese boy to continue his study when she was in UK.

About her choice to become a woman, from what i read from the forums, she was a hermaphrodite, and after referring to the Islamic Council, she opted to become a real women. Wallahu'alam.

She used to work in the Leo Burnett for doing the advertising, which most of the Petronas TV advertisement were made by them. She has a master degree, so don't play play..

From that source, I was told, Yasmin Ahmad is a real woman at heart...

As Zulkiflee Ahmad on the album cover, back in the 70s.

Now, Yasmin Ahmad she is.

She's someone that i could be proud of, a diamond in the midst of coals, I would say...

* This post is intended not to humiliate or to harm her in anyway. It's merely intended so that we will end up all the wonders in our head. Please, love her and respect her as all other people that we all know. She really deserves who and where she is now. We should all be proud of what she had done for us.

A few things that I have in mind..

Back in these few days, i was boggled by a few things in my mind. That's why sometime I tend to write long post, it's mainly because i have problem pouring out all the ideas. Too bad isn't it.

Since the last post was long, I think this post should be shorter. What about in the point form? I have some resolutions for Gubra. My very own resolution..

Gubra
  • We should see Gubra as a messenger. Why? Gubra is definitely a movie that's portraying the reality of the people in Malaysia, but I'm to agree that exaggeration exist at certain level. For example, the paying RM300 to a whore is such a waste, furthermore in the kampung area.

  • People has been questioning the way the muazzin and his wife confronting their neighbours, who happened to be the whore.
First, they are neighbouring muslims. Islam has taught muslim to be good with the neighbours no matter who they are, what religion and so on.

Second, Islam is a tolerating religion. Remember, not to be specific but there was once, a lady who admitted adultery to Prophet Muhammad S.A.W, but our beloved prophet asked her to Taubah and go away. Muazzin and wife, I believe may have done the best to revert both of the whores to the right path, but slowly. They know that both may have to do it for some reason.

Third, Islam is a religion by example. Both Muazzin and her wife has been doing a very good job by showing both whores a very good example. It works :) The boy's mother wanted to get back to the right path, even though after she has got into a disease, it's still, the door of Taubah would still be opened. Allah the Most Merciful. Not like some other whores, even after getting a disease, not only they felt sorry, they even tend to spread it all over. So bad! And because Allah is so merciful, you'll see why those arabs will keep on crying by the kaa'ba day by day. They do bad things and just return to kaa'ba crying for their sins. Believe me!
  • I would strongly condemn those who force people to do kindness. Kindness should come sincerely from heart. By the way, we shouldn't also let people to do bad things. I don't know, but this is what Gubra might be conveying to us. Why does all these were still happening? We enforced law. We caught people, nailed them but they were still doing it. Why is that?

  • For me, the biggest issue was the Muazzin, wife and neighbours. Shame to those who make the loveliness of Pak Atan and wife as an issue as their marriage were not as happy as them. I think it's normal to joke about penis in the public, i guess most people do, unless you have small penis. I read somewhere that only those with small penis refuse to joke about it. Maybe? Haha..

  • The rest, it's the reality of life with exaggerations. Come on, we exaggerate all the time. Who don't?

The Bridge

It has become a lame issue. I'm sad that we're losing on our own ground. Wonder why?

  • We've been well informed that the reason why the bridge project was cancelled; caused by the ridiculous singapore's request of sands and airspace. Why?

From The Star, 25 December, 2004,“Singapore Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong said after a meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in Putrajaya on Dec 13 that the Malaysian Government would consider allowing Singapore Air Force (SAF) jets to use Malaysian airspace for training.”

Who was in charge back then? So now, no wonder why they asked for the airspace.

  • The sand? Yeah we used to sell as they were to continue their project with the Changi Airport but that was avery long time ago and the amount was very little. Malaysia has banned the selling and Singapore just want it to be unbanned. They want 50 million m3 amount of sand a year in 50 years. Why?

With that amount of sand they can enlarge their territory by 315 km2, which can cover the whole water area from the east northern part of singapore up to Ubin and Tekong Island as you can refer to the picture above.

  • Because of these two things, we lose everything. Do u feel like blaming someone? I guess you will, after reading this post. You can always refer to Mahathir's Open Letter and A Kadir's Blog for further information on this.

  • Implications:
    1. We cannot further improve/enhance/develop Pasir Gudang Port and Tanjung Pelepas port to replace Singapore's port>
    2. Congestion at Johot Causeway
    3. Loss of money due to the project cancellation. Then, you know what? Maybe later when the congestion is too bad, maybe Singapore will opt for the bridge once again. Then new contractor will be appointed. I told you, i told you!!!! (refer to my previous post about the theories)
    4. Shame on us! Bigger country than singapore but no balls! Eh, sorry, just the leaders.
This took me almost the whole night to write about it. This is so mind boggling!

Nationally people were talking...

The demise of Tun Abdul Ghafar Baba is a big lost, but i still wonder why the MCA keep on celebrating his birthday every year as it appears on TV today. Well, I myself would like to express my gratitude towards him, as someone who I respect, someone who continue work for the party that I doubt would actually work for the folks even though i know that his intention was decent. Only him.

As we all know, the planned bridge from Johor Bahru to Singapore construction was cancelled due to the unreasonably ridiculous requests from the Singapore from Malaysia; which were the sands and the air space. As we all know, Malaysia had also been supplying them water directly, but indirectly Malaysia had been supplying them a lot of things. Smuggled items, groceries, fuel and labours. Would they be able to survive without all these?

We'll see it later, once the water treaty ended in 2011.

I'm sure most of us know what would happened once the bridge is built. The water from both side of the causeway will flow nicely. That is also a signage of the new routing of the shipping companies from east to west and vice versa. The journey will be cut short with the new route. No more ship will dropped by to singapore for trade.

That's why they asked for sands. They would bunch up the sand around their territory so that the ship won't be able to pass thru the tebrau straits. So bad isn't it.

And they asked for the air space because they wouldn't dare to pass through indonesians space. Malaysians are very kind you see. We won't shoot them down even though sometimes they 'accidentally' breached our space. That's why they were mean enough to ask the air space from us.

The latest talking at the back was the movie Gubra and Sepet. It was seen so big that they even had a debate on the TV which I missed to watch it. Anyone watch it will you please jot some review about the forum/debate?

I've heard a lot of bad things were said about Gubra and Sepet in that debate/forum. Do they even debated about it in the Parliament? Gosh. Those in the parliament maybe doesn;t have other things to do also. They are supposed to be taking care of the people instead of questioning an art work, which I think they are not even to appreciate. Come on, Yasmin Ahmad's work has been internationally recognized, but our own country is denying the fact that what a good job she has been doing.

I'm afraid that she has been she had been sexually discriminated, especially of her sexual status that I myself doubted. Furthermore she is new, not that new in the advertising thingy but still very new to the movie scenery. Let us not talk about it. It's quite personal, I don't care if people would say that I'm a gay but I don't know how would i take it if someone discussed about why and how I'd be a gay. Hehe. I'm not a gay anyway.

For me myself, I would think that Gubra is a HONEST movie, which can drive the audience to think about the messages, but Yasmin Ahmad has already warned us to not to think much about just consume it first.

I did my consuming job very well and it has made me think of some little-little things that maybe some other reviews/critics has not put into consideration. I was more interested in the dog ya know, but not the issue of the part of that Muazzin petting the dog, as for me, it's not only noble of him to care of that crippled dog, it's okay to pet the dog like that. Come on, if happens that the dog licked him, he would still be able to do 'Samak' so it shouldn't be the main issue.

Most people take it seriously. Nothing big about that. Yasmin is not only trying to educate us of what actually we would be able to do, it's the norms. Good norms that everyone of us should have.

I remembered, a whore is promised a place in heaven, just to give a sick dog a piece of bread, but we always have forgotten that. A WHORE, not a noble!

Well, that's not my point.

I wondered about the scene when he pet the dog, when he was about to leave, he shouted to the dog 'Malam esok! Malam esok!' (tomorrow night 2x). WHat was he trying to do. It was like he's promising something to the dog. I wonder what kind of connection he has with that dog that, in the scene that Khir taken the money of the older prostitue (played by Rozie Rashid), the Muazzin did a hard tackle to Khir, put something in his pocket and let him off.

Once Khir reached a farther place, he realized of the thing (it looks like stone, incense maybe) in his back pocket and threw it away. If you can remember, as he threw the thing away, the dog howled/barked and the Muazzin appeared all of a sudden.

Based on my mystical readings, years ago, the Muazzin may have reached a level of being able to go anywhere through the air, or maybe he had turned to a dog before he followed Khir, I don't know. Did u guys wondered about this?

Furthermore, the issue of the Chinese who was hooked to eating pork even though he was in the hospital, again has been a big issue. Not to mention the scene where a patient of the hospital showed his bare back. Even the last part where everyone is praying in their very own way/religion was also an issue. Come on! In Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan be both Muslim and Hindu, but no one questioned about it, we Malaysia still love it. That's more motiveless. What are they trying to convey? You can turn to any religion whenever you like? At least we're putting it that everyone of them sticked to their religion, what ever happen.

Some is reality, but some may have not. The 'some's that may have not is maybe something Yasmin is dreaming to have. We know that in actual, in out real life, it's pretty hard to get that harmonious connections between the differing races. We may have heard about how UMNO Youth viciously went to see an MCA leader just for something wrong he has mistakenly said.

I even told you guys before that they were these group of old folks, 1 Malay, 1 Indian and 2 Chinese, even though they keep cursing/make fun of each other, but they love each other so much! It's a reality that Yasmin should have brought up. I'm sure the audience will further think that is more unacceptable. Why? They make fun of each other's GOD. But they are true friends till the end of their life.

I'm sure that would be a big issue. Why when a Malaysian do something like that, we would say NO, but not when the westerners did it?

Another illogical thing were, when Alan did not wear his shirt around the hospital, and Amani wore Alan's father dresses goin out with Alan. Furthermore, standing at the behind of the truck is prohibited by Law. That's the reality that Yasmin has forgotten to slip in. Dangerous. Maybe Yasmin should do it like, when Amani stood in that behind of truck, Alan accidentally stepped on the break, and Amani was thrown away and die. Hehe. That would be interesting. Maybe later, when Yasmin wants to kill her character in the next sequels.

Another unsupposedly thing to happen in my mind was when Alan took Amani back to her room. Is that all happened? Haha. Amani in the first place, as a Muslim and a wife who hates her husband to cheat behind her back, should have actually avoided following Alan to his room, unless he had been wanting something from Alan, and you know, when Alan especially keep boasting about how big his 'thing' is. Maybe when Amani was frustrated about her husband, he followed Alan, but following someone back to his room has a normally different kind of follow ups.

And I don't like the scene where that sick old malay chap who speak Malay with the Chinese dialect. Yasmin should teach our people to speak a proper Malay. It's like we can never have our own identity, even when we speak. We tend to speak in the chinese dialect, no matter in English or Malay, when we speak to a chinese. Worse, when we speak to an indonesian, we tend to speak like an indonesian. And people like me sometime do speak english like an American or Brit, but i did it with purpose. I would normally speak english like a Malaysian. You see japanese people speak english like they were still speaking in Japanese. I wonder if, Malaysian can speak japanese english to a japanese. Things like japeo (japan) and charrenj-uh (challenge) are common english-japanese pronunciation. See? They have identity.

Why is it so hard to be ourselves? We've been copycatting for a very long time, even some of Malay words were borrowed from the portuguese but we're not the best in copycat.

But, I like the perspective or mentality that a Malay Lady likes chinese male, and the fact that Alan's Mom likes malay males. Indian involvement is very minimal. The reality nowadays is that a lot of Malay girls attracted to Indian guys. Go to Bangsar. You'll see it there. Go to the clubs.

It's like when an American-African gets it going with a white lady. That's how I see it. But most of chinese ladies actually like their own race males. Indian ladies, due to the religious thingy, they sticked to indian guys.

But the most real thing is, our local ladies cannot resist expatriates. How true, go to clubs la guys. Such relationship is said to be upgrading their social status, as they would never actually realize that, they were just toys to somehow a married caucasian.

But nationally, they were not talking about this. It was just the Gubra. I'm the one who was getting carried away. Hehe..

Nationally people were talking...

A rockful weekend...!

My last weekend started at Thursday Night.

Even though my last week's b iz transaction was not as good, I was very happy as i have visitors.

What?

I said VISITORS! Pronounced as VEE-ZEE-TERS.

A friend came down on thursday night and stayed until saturday. On Saturday itself, a school mate is getting married in JB and a bunch of ex-schoolmate has made their marvellous plan to come down to JB for the wedding ceremony. They called it, "Rancangan Jahat" (A crime plan). Why? Because at first they wanted to enjoy their bachelor night but you know, wife's always comes first.

The first person I saw was Ucuk, then i headed myself to their 'lepak' area and the first thing I heard from Jiman was,

"Kau ni buat pembedahan plastik ke apa?"

(Did u went on a plastic surgery?)

Why? Hehehe. Jiman said that I'm not ageing. I guess that something had gone wrong with his eyes.

I was so happy to see them. Kili, Sam, Jiman, Baguk, Fakaruddin, Ucuk, Hasid, Mahyuzie and Fadzil, and not to forget Ijat.

From Left, Back: Sam, Ucuk, Me and Jiman. Front: Baguk, Fakaruddin, Kili and Hasid. (Not in the picture Mahyuzie & Fadzil)

I would say these people (including me) were the wanted faces, except for Baguk & Hasid. Kili was my guitar sparring mate. Anytime he knew a new song he'll teach me and vice versa. Ucuk was the Cadet Sargeant, Sam was among the '6 Jahanam' (the cursed 6), Fakaruddin was the one who was always high. Me? The first to be known smoking in my batch, that when I was just 13. Ijat? Also in the 6 Jahanam.

After the wedding, all of them, except for Fadzil and Mahyuzie headed to my house and spent about an hour or two there before going back. Then I sent my friend to the bus station heading to KL as well.

This is rockin' good, fellas..!

I slept like a baby that night that I slept too long that I woke up at 12.30 on the next day. That I watched TV, worked out at the gym and went out to the Landmark Mall for the Guitar Workshop with Sham Kamikaze! He's damn kewl. He's fast. He's just really into guitar, he can make the guitar talk for him. I could see a guitar god when he showed his stuff during the workshop that I think i was drooling with my mouth wide open!

End of the workshop, I stood up and walked towards him while he walked towards me, helding up his right hand to shake my hand and say,

"Macam pernah jumpalah, awak ni orang KL ye?"

(I think i've seen u somewhere before, are u from KL?)

I was just laughing and say maybe! The crowd was crazy for him. There was even a pregnant mom rushing to get his signature on her blouse! I did not know that women were crazy at him as well. I waited till everyone had done their business with him and slowly i approached him to ask him a few tips on playing guitar. He again asked me have I ever be in the show business, because my face seems to be very very familiar to him, as he was trying to recalling something everytime he saw me. I also wonder, because I don't know. That was my first time seeing him in person btu I just get into the flow and saying maybe we've met in KL. That's it.

Then I headed to the concert, it was boring until a boy shoed his skill on the drums and that was the band with a gurl singer. It was kewl, except for the guitarist that was overly unnecessarily showed some stupid acts. Than the Metal band with a quite kewl lead guitar, a chinese band, The Sam Mega band, Rosli of Sweet Charity band and that was the climax of the concert.

In their last song, they played deep purple's smoke in the water, with all 3 guitarist, Sham, Sam and Rosli played together and really rocked up the stage.

I was really bad for being forgetful. It's has always been like that. I always forgotten to bring my camera, but still, I really enjoyed this weekend. I wish they'll do again again some other time!

Malaysian Dreams Would Never Became True.

I was lost for about a week or two. Wasn't really updating myself on what's going on locally or globally. I have this kind of laziness at my back. It sits on me and pushed me off to bed everytime I wanted to do just anything.

Eh guys, have u noticed my picture on the local newspapers? Last week I guess. One on Thursday, one on Friday and the last one on Saturday. The best thing was, on Saturday, My Father was on the newspaper too.

On recent updates, the Causeway Bridge from JB to Singkapoh (or should I write it as Singkepoh?) has been officially cancelled.

We may have heard,

"Rumah dah siap tapi tukul dok berbunyik"

(House has been completely build but the work is still goin on)

That actually has got nothing to do with this issue. It's just a matter of promoting the Malay Proverb.

Singkepoh has been such a nasty neighbour to us, Malaysia. Imagine they have benefited so much from the Water Supply treaty, that was done back in 1963, when Singkepoh was officially 'Let-Go' by Malaysia. Even Malacca paid a much higher price for water when they bought it from Johor.

Singkepoh has benifited so much from this win-lose relationship. Of course Malaysia is on the lose side. They even tried to claim Pulau Batu Putih. For me it doesn't really matter, it just that the island is so much of a strategic location to eye on the sea traffic.

The fact that Pasir Gudang port and Tanjung Pelepas port is going to emerge is something that Singkepoh is so afraid to accept and to face on. The main objective of the new bridge is to let the water flow freely between the left side and the right side of the Causeway.

Beside that, the bridge would be equipped with the mechanism to lift both side to let the ship to pass through. What do thise kiasu Singkepoh feel then? They are scared to death man! Then no ship is ever going to park at their ports. They may choose either Tanjung Pelepas or Pasir Gudang port. Much cheaper and shorten their journey as well.

Do you know that Singkepoh has been processing the water they bought from Johor and sell it back to Johor with a much ridiculously highr price? Takpe takpe (nvm nvm). Wait till the end of the water treaty in 2011. If I am the PM now, sharp at 1 January 2011, I'll arrange a special ceremony to shutdown the water piping that has been supplying the water to Singkepoh all this while and destroy it.

They want water? Go and buy from Indonesia la. You have money right? Kepoh la lu.

We just want to build a bridge. You asked for our sand and airspace. What the f*ck.

The railway and the pipe can be built right? If we can build a bridge, what's the problem with the pipe and railway? I don't get it.

If Malaysia continue to supply them water after 2011, that Prime Minister is stupid.

But deeply in my heart, i have this feeling that the current PM is tired of negotiating. We have been losing a lot all this while.

Singkepoh has been reported to steal sands from a lot of malaysian seashore spots. How true is that? I'm not sure. But they seems to be growing their land day by day.

I'll just wait for 2011. If anyone happen to read my suggestion on the year of 2011 and able to tell to the PM, please la tell.

On my journey of being the next rockstar...!

Guess what?

I've been so not free for the past few days after i saw the advertisement of the Rockstar the Series. As i was a loyal StarWorld channel fan, there were a few times that they aired the advertisement, which has asked whoever interested to join in the audition to visit their website, www.startv.com/rockstar. I visited the website, filled the forms up and get myself started to be the next rockstar.

The audition, which is gonna be held at the Berjaya Times Square on the 1st and 2nd April 2006 is going to pick the one and only represtative for ASIA.

Come again? ASIA?

Yes, it's for ASIA! The whole ASIA!

Through out the NET, the next rockstar search is to get a new singer for a new band formed by Motley Crew's ex drummer Tommy Lee, Jason Newsted, the former Metallica and an ex-guns, Gilby Clarke. I reckoned that it's gonna be a mixed up of punk rock, rock & roll and heavy metal.

Each rockstar wannabe is required to prepare at least 3 songs to be presented during the audition. In my mind, there are no other than Aerosmith's songs like Kiss Your Past Goodbye or Crazy, as both of it has the vocal range variants. Two former punk & rock & roll band members is enough to tell that someone with the voice of axl rose or steve tyler is probably someone they're looking for! I would say that it's really gonna be me dudes!

Other than those songs, i've also chosen the song To Be With You by Mr. Big, Back & Forth Again by the Slash's Snakepit and Live & Let Die, the G'n'F'R`s version. For lower range voice, I've chosen Sister by The Nixon, Freshman by The Verve Pipe and Broken by the Seether.

I'm really getting myself prepared for this audition. I keep telling myself that this is the big chance i've got to prove something, rather than just going to karaoke or singing in the bathroom, or in my car, like most of us do. My days and nights were all spent on my guitar and my voice singing. I slept and wake up early in the morning just to perfect myself on the vocal and the guitar.

Oh yeah, they asked to sing by acapella, a minus one track or someone playing an instrument for you but in my case, i'm gonna play the guitar all by myself.

As it's reaching 31st March, i practiced more and more. I even intentionally missed my gym sessions, locked myself in my room and jam all the way, day and night. Right at 10 o'clock that night, me and my whole family drove up to Seremban. My brother, Ikhwan was there to drive me to Kuala Lumpur (KL) the next morning. We made a move from Seremban at around 7.30 and reached Berjaya Times Square at 8.30.

When I reached there, it was quiet. Like nothing's gonna happen. No crowd like how people crowded the place when Malaysian Idol held their audition there for the past few years. This is just surprising!

What?

It's really surprising dudes! The audition is for the whole ASIA but i can't see anyone heading to the audition. I asked the security guard about the audition and he asked me to take the elevator lift to the 6th floor. Up there, I met up with a few guys, Jeff a Malay chap, Redzuan of Lost Souls, Sashi and Ravin, both from Penang.

More surprise, Jeff arrived there as early as 6.30 in the morning. Redzuan? He was there since 3.30 AM. So as Ravin and Sashi, they arrived at around 4 AM. That's crazy man. The reason was, just look at the past years auditions. There was a super long queue that would make u wait for the whole day for your turn! But, that's not happening today!

Well we chatted, we jammed, while waiting for the clock to point to 10 a.m. Slowly we see people coming over. More and more people but it was nothing like the Malaysian Idol's audition and remind you, this is ASIA's audition!

I could see a lot of Avril Lavigne wannabes, and most of the male were middle aged chaps like me. I was quite happy when Redzuan guessed my age was just 22 or 23. When I told them I'm 29 they were like jumping! "Hey man you looked so bloody f*cking young!"

Then it was 10 a.m and we get ourselved registered. My no was 008 and here we go. I just can't wait for my turn as the nervousness made me so scared to hell. I've heard from far that there were people who were stopped while singing. There was one candidate who were stopped when he was just started singing. I was so scared. That's ridiculous! I keep on practising till i didn't realize that there were cameras shooting at me playing my guitar and singing! Suddenly...

ZERO ZERO EIGHT!

My number was called and I stepped in. I was looking for judges, but there were no one there. Just 2 cameramen, an audio engineer and 3 helpers. I played Kiss Your Past Goodbye, but surprisingly they waited me to finish my song. They applauded so loud and shouted cheerly while asking me to play the next song. I decided to play Back and Forth Again by the Slash's Snakepit. They were kinda enjoying my show and they even asked me to play the next song. I decided to play To Be With You and they were so cheerful and one of them said loudly, congratulations! Please come for the call back tomorrow! There was me smiling waling out of the door while being interviewed by Paula Malai Ali for Channel [V] and someone by the StarWorld. I cannot say anything much as I was so blank!

2nd April.

Here I come. I went for the callback and met with the judges! I was the last one to be interviewed. Showtime! I again sang KIss Your Past Goodbye and loudly cheering up by saying,

You'll be representing ASIA for the ROCKSTAR THE SERIES program!

Gosh! It was a quiet moment for me. I felt so helpless that I didn't jumped up for joy because I was so surprised! I was so speechless.............

Someone like me?

Surprised?

I really think this would be a really good April Fool surprise for you guys!

Thanks for reading!
